In 1995, I was appointed an Authorised Celebrant by the Attorney General, and since then have performed hundreds of marriage ceremonies – from intimate elopements to complex rituals, for neighbourhood friends to overseas couples. From them, I have been privileged to develop an insight into what ritual means, and have been able to create a rich repertoire of ceremonies on which to base my advice on ceremony design.
Over the decades, I have seen many changes in the Marriage Celebrant Programme, and, as a professional and experienced teacher, have trained many new and existing celebrants.
In response to the growing demand in personalised ceremonies, I also facilitate the making of rituals for other occasions – commitments, renewals of vows, baby-namings – or the creation of new rituals for new occasions.
I am a foundation member of Australian Marriage Celebrants Incorporated, one of the oldest established professional associations of experienced celebrants. Specialising in ceremonies in the Blue Mountains and on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, I am also accustomed to performing ceremonies anywhere in the metropolitan area, including in the city of Sydney itself. Ceremonies for interstate and overseas couples can be arranged long-distance through phone, email or correspondence. As a languages teacher, I am able to conduct ceremonies in French, German and Indonesian.
I am confident I can help make your wedding ceremony the unique and significant event you would hope for.
I would love to meet you.
